We dream of God's people pursuing spiritual maturity, spending time with God in
prayer, studying His Word, and walking with Him daily. We see people
shedding the shackles of selfish behavior and enjoying the freedom of following
Christ, being controlled and guided by His Spirit. We see people growing from
one level of spiritual commitment to another, as fully functioning, fruitful
followers of Christ.
We dream of people hungry to hear God's Word preached in a way that is relevant
for daily living in our community. We see people eager to understand what God
has revealed, and obey Him, acknowledging that His Word-not our personal
preferences-is our final authority.
We dream of God's people excited about what God is doing, worshiping Him
enthusiastically, and enjoying praising Him together. We see worship services
which promote inspiring, authentic worship that recognizes who God is and
what He has done for us, and witnesses to our belief that God is holy and
powerful, alive and active among us. People leave our worship services with a
sense that they have been in God's presence. Our worship continues beyond the
doors of the church, as we continue to worship Him individually throughout the
week.
We dream of God's people modeling biblical community: a safe place where we
accept one another, love one another, and serve one another. We see lots of
smiles, from people glad to be in a place of belonging, welcomed by the familiar
faces of friends. We see concerns about coming to a strange place and seeing
strange faces melt, as warm, caring people make newcomers feel welcome. We
see people caring for one another, praying for each other, sharing their lives with
one another, and encouraging one another to love and good deeds. We hear
sounds of joy and friendship, laughter breaking down walls of silence.
We dream of God's people actively involved in small groups that help them
establish close, intimate relationships with other Christians. Those seeking to
develop a higher level of commit-ment find a group of like-minded people who
will hold them accountable for taking the next step they need to take in their
spiritual development.
We dream of God's people developing into fully functioning followers of Christ.
We see our leaders helping all our people discover their divine design,
understand how God has prepared them to serve Him, and where they fit in the
body of Christ. We see the church helping every participant develop their God-given potential for ministry and get connected to a ministry where they can
serve Him effectively. We see motivated volunteers, passionate about serving
God and ministering to one another.
We dream of every participant making three commitments to Christ and His
church:
1) A commitment to participate in corporate worship and instruction each Sunday;
2) A commitment to participate in a small group;
3) A commitment to serve God in some ministry of the church, using the gifts God has given them to serve the body of Christ.
We dream of whole families growing closer to God and to each other through
programs designed to motivate and train parents. We dream of young families
coming, with lots of small children, to worship and serve God together
enthusiastically.
We dream of God's people becoming a healthy, living church that grows and
produces fruit, as God's Spirit works in our midst. We dream of welcoming new
members into our body who are excited about Christ and about growing
together in love.
We dream of God's people giving joyfully to God out of grateful hearts, worshiping
Him for what He has given us, and sharing what we have with others in need.
We dream of God's people sharing clearly and often the good news of eternal life
by trusting in Christ alone with thousands of friends and family members in
Warsaw and beyond. We see hundreds of people trusting Christ and choosing
to be baptized, building a foundation that will lead to a lifetime of following
Christ and sharing His love with others. We see people being trained to share
their faith and reaching out to people in their natural networks of relationships
who need to hear about Christ. We see people who decide to follow Christ being
warmly welcomed and becoming involved in church life.
We dream of God's people recruiting, training, and sending out many of our members as missionaries, church planters, and church workers all over the world. We see many of our people pursuing short-term missions service. We dream of participating in planting other churches in Warsaw and beyond, as often as God gives us opportunity.
